Game input
Your words, trail and route calculations stay in your browser's memory. We do not send typed words to a server, store a player profile, or save game progress. Refreshing the page clears the trail.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only on wordtrailplay.com after you choose Allow analytics at the bottom of a page. Before consent, or after No thanks, no Google tag or Google Analytics request is loaded. You can play without agreeing. Local previews and Pages preview domains do not collect analytics.
With consent, Google receives page views and game start, completion, exit and route-finder events, with step counts, and clicks to More Games or Letter Lock. These use fixed game names and local destination labels, not typed words or clicked URLs. We do not send typed words, email addresses, URL query strings or fragments. Google may process device, browser, network and approximate location information. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Analytics uses first-party _ga cookies configured to expire after one day. Consent is not saved in local storage and applies only to the current page. Stop analytics removes those cookies and reloads the page, clearing game progress. You can also remove cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
Advertising is disabled. No advertising script loads, and no advertising cookies are set. We will review consent and update this page before any future advertising integration.
Website delivery
Cloudflare delivers the public website and may process request information, including IP addresses, for delivery and security. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Email inquiries
Cloudflare Email Routing forwards messages sent to our contact address to our receiving mailbox. If you contact the maintainer, your email address and message are used to respond to the inquiry. Avoid sending sensitive information. See Contact for the current available channel.
External websites
Letter Lock also runs in your browser; guesses and progress are not uploaded or saved. External recommendations in More Games open websites run by other operators. We do not embed those games. Their cookies, accounts, analytics and advertising are governed by their own policies.
Questions
Contact the maintainer through the contact page with privacy questions or a request about information you have sent.
Cloudflare performance measurement
Cloudflare also automatically provides real-user performance monitoring on this public domain. Its browser beacon measures page loading, responsiveness, page URLs and referrers without cookies or browser storage. This is separate from optional Google Analytics. See Cloudflare's RUM documentation for the collected fields and processing.
